Saving the World’s Water Towers Campaign: how children and students are taking action locally and globally
ZWDP organised and hosted an official online side event is part of the program for the official launch of the International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation on 21 January 2025.
The event launched the Saving the World’s Water Towers (SWWT) Campaign Schools’ Poster with its motif and key messages. Students from schools in Africa, North and South America and Europe will speak about action for mountain change and their current projects in support of IYGP. The SWWT schools’ poster supports the implementation of the 2021 Children’s Call to Action for mountains with the creation of water walks highlighting water equity and community participation (SDG 6b).
