Food and Health Security
ZWDP has been invited to present on ‘Food and Health Security’ during the < Human Security in the context of Common Security and Defence Plan > training course hosted by the European Defence and Security College at the Albert Borschette Conference Centre, Brussels in 5th – 8th May.
This provides a new platform for ZWDP to engage in policy and education around climate change, environment and human security. It will also feed into the European Public Health Association course ‘Health in al Policies and Human Security for Resilience, Preparedness and Security in a Changing World; Time to Train’ which will be launched during Public Health Week in Brussels.
The European Union’s Integrated Approach to Human Security combines diplomatic, security and development tools to address complex crises from prevention tp long-term peace building adopting a people-centred approach a cohesive whole of government, whole of society approach. Coordinating and creating local partnerships is a common challenge.
ZWDP is planning to engage with WHO Pandemic Hub, Berlin to incorporate work on public health intelligence and collaborative surveillance into the session.
