In German it is a ‘gemeinnütiges’ organization / “not for profit” organisation with a clear and specific focus on planetary health, human health and water. It was founded in 2021.

The wicked problem;

Day Zero” in Cape Town, South Africa in 2018 became a term to mark the start of level 7 water restrictions, when municipal water supplies would be largely switched off and it was envisioned that residents could have to queue for their daily ration of water. 

But with a whole government, whole society approach both residential and agricultural water usage declined and the “Day Zero”

Many countries and communities are increasingly at risk for a “Day Zero”.  Cape Town has shown how we can work collectively to avoid catastrophic consequences of zero water day.
