ZWDP is collaborating with the International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations supporting the development of the Sustainable Mountain Guiding curriculum.
One of ZWDP long-term projects is creating a series of 3D relief maps that will help to visualise science and data from mountain regions.
One of the first 3D relief maps will be of Mont Blanc Massif, French Alps.

Harz, Germany
ZWDP reportage for 2025 will focus on the Harz Mountains in northern Germany.
The aim to follow and document the impact of climate change on the mountain environment (Class V Mountain Area) and the adaption and mitigation strategies of Harz National Park.

Nyon, Switzerland
ZWDP supported the Moser School in Nyon, Switzerland for their project week and the roll out of the ‘Ice to Ice’ project.
A key aspect was using the 17 Sustainable Development Goals to connect lived experiences to Earth System science.
This showcases the ZWDP Water Partnership Ambassador Programme and will provide a template for other schools.

Deister, Germany
Gunnison Middle and High School in Colorado USA created the first water walk.
ZWDP is looking to establish water walks in its partnering schools.
We are currently working in Wennigsen am Deister area on a water walk.

Paro, Bhutan
Wanakha Central School, near Paro Bhutan contributed to the childrens’ Call to Action to protect mountain areas from the impact of climate change.
Namkha Gyeltshen, a teacher at the school has already created a planetary health weather station and works with the local community to protect the local community water source.
